eauty is a gift of God. God made us beautiful in His own way. Beauty is meant to be fĂȘted by the people that behold it. I belief that each and every one of us is beautiful in his or her own as created by God.
We should however not be carried away by the mere utterance of “YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL”. Women are usually the main victims of the YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL SYNDROME. It feels great if you are told about your beauty but the intention of that exclamation should always be questioned.
Do you tell a woman that she is beautiful because her maker is beautiful and made her so or because you want to lure her to grace your bed? Most young women these days are usually deceived by this and end up on bed with men who lust for them. Where have we left our moral values?
I don’t blame the men who lure young women to bed by the mere expression of beauty. As a woman you need to have a high self-esteem and the confidence that you are beautiful. You do not need any man to tell you about your beauty.
Dear parents, tell your growing daughters continuously that they are beautiful to help build their self-esteem. A woman who knows she is beautiful would not be surprised to hear others, especially men telling her that she is beautiful. She would understand it to be a part of her and a normal thing.
A woman is like a flower, it buds today and withers tomorrow. Let us not be flattered by outer beauty today since age would come with the wrinkles tomorrow and that beauty would be no more.
Beauty is a blessing, but if we allow ourselves to be carried away whenever it is mentioned, it would turn to be a curse on us. It would make us useless in the near future and no one would be willing to come close to us.
We would be turned into laughing stalks wherever we find ourselves. Let us use our brains well if beauty is mentioned to us. We have to employ sustainable strategies that would help us build our confidence and self-esteem.
What becomes of tomorrow if all the young women follow their beauty today and become miserable tomorrow? The future is in our hands, let us all come together and build it.
